Standard 1: Program Scope

  • Defines the mission, scope, and intended outcomes of the program.
  • Outlines eligibility criteria and target audience.
  • Aligns with CACS certification goals and ethical standards.

Standard 2: Structure & Resources

  • Describes governance, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Ensures separation of certification and training functions.
  • Requires qualified personnel and secure infrastructure.

Standard 3: Policies & Procedures

  • Documents operational protocols, eligibility, and renewal processes.
  • Includes confidentiality, risk management, and grievance procedures.
  • Supports continuous improvement and internal audits.

Standard 4: Records Management

  • Maintains secure records of assessments and operations.
  • Implements data protection and access controls.
  • Ensures certificate issuance is based on verified competencies.

Standard 5: Education/Training

  • Aligns instruction with defined competencies.
  • Uses qualified instructors and effective learning formats.
  • Separates training delivery from certification decisions.

Standard 6: Assessment

  • Uses valid, reliable, and fair assessment tools.
  • Provides accommodations and secure administration.
  • Includes feedback loops and continuous review mechanisms.
